The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Crosswind Capital, LLC is Steven D. Sandler. Prior to founding Crosswind, Mr. Sandler was a former Fund Manager for The Tuckerman Group in New York, a subsidiary of State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), having managed a private investment fund focusing on specialized real estate ventures. Prior to joining State Street, Mr. Sandler was with Genesis Merchant Group in San Francisco, where he was part of the Proprietary Mergers and Acquisitions group, co-directing the firm's principal investment activities in the real estate sector. Mr. Sandler started his career as an Associate with the law firm of Fowler, White, Burnett, Hurley, Banick & Strickroot in Miami, where he specialized in securities and capital markets matters. During his legal career, he also focused on matters of corporate reorganization and bankruptcy, advising holders of distressed assets on restructuring solutions. His academic credentials include an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance, a B.A. from Washington & Lee University. He is also a 1983 graduate of The Peddie School, and a member of The Cum Laude Society.
